Are you where you thought you would be and how did you get there?
The short answer is yes. I thought I would be retired from my day job at this point but without a crystal ball, I was not sure how the rest of my life would look. Things have worked out pretty much how I planned. As for how I got here I did the things that I was passionate about and thought I could succeed at doing. It worked!
What was the bravest thing you have done that got you where you are today?
The bravest thing that I have done was leaving Mellon Bank at 40 years old and starting a career in radio at WAMO. That was the catalyst for my life in the media. It was one of the best choices that I have ever made.
What does receiving the Onyx Woman Leadership Award mean to you?
It means that you have noticed the things that I have done and perhaps my experiences can encourage someone else to pursue their dreams and make them a reality.
